Call for Subject Matter Experts

Help Shape a New Professional Certification

 

NCDA is pleased to announce the development of a globally designed career development coaching credential, to advance professional standards and recognize excellence in career coaching. We are currently seeking Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the development of this new certification, including job analysis, competency identification, and examination development activities.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from experienced professionals who:

  • Have at least two years of experience in career services and coaching
  • Represent diverse practice settings, geographic regions, and professional perspectives
  • Are committed to advancing high standards and ethical practice
     

Time Commitment

SME participation is expected to occur April 16-18, 2026, with an estimated time commitment of 20 hours conducted virtually.

Selection Process:

It is extremely important to ensure diversity in the composition of the participant group. Therefore, NCDA has extended an invitation to a number of individuals in excess of the number of participants needed. Demographic categories that will be considered in the selection process gender, education, age, ethnicity, and disability with an emphasis on work setting. Reviewers will be selected from those who respond to this initial inquiry in a manner to ensure the most diverse population possible. Notification of selection will be forwarded by March 30, 2026.
