Seth C.W. Hayden

Dr. Seth C.W. Hayden is an associate professor of counseling at Wake Forest University. He earned his doctoral degree in counselor education from the University of Virginia and master’s degree in counseling from the University of Memphis. Dr. Hayden has provided career and personal counseling in community agencies, secondary school, and university settings. Dr. Hayden is a licensed clinical mental health counselor in North Carolina, a licensed professional counselor in Virginia, a certified career counselor educator, a national certified counselor, a certified clinical mental health counselor, and an approved clinical supervisor.

 

Dr. Hayden’s research focuses on the career and personal development of military service members, veterans, and their families. In addition, he explores the connection between career and mental health concerns. He is a co-author of two NCDA monographs, Career Development for Transitioning Veterans and Group Career Counseling: Practices and Principles, as well as articles in the Career Development Quarterly, Career Developments, and Career Convergence. He has presented at several national and state branch conferences of NCDA.

 

Dr. Hayden previously served as the NCDA Trustee for counselor educators and researchers and as co-chair of the Research Committee. He is a past-president of the Military and Government Counseling Association, a division of the American Counseling Association.
